Each minute
I pray for luck
Wanting to see you awake
Each hour
I calm my heart
Wanting to hear your genuine words
Each day
I practice virtue
Wanting to open your heart’s lock
Each month
I read scripture
Wanting to observe your face
Each year
I comprehend
Wanting to seek for your breath
Comprehend hills
Comprehend rivers
Not for an afterlife
Only for the chance
To meet
A flashing moment
Looking back
Seeing through my own nature
Not asking for long lives
But for
This life’s rest
