CARNAL OLD FOLKS
(A poem of natural wisdom)
Thousands of mountain ranges: violet
Hundreds of silk blouse: float
Clouds tangle hill summits: unfold their sleeves
Sunrise shines upon hilltop: redness
Pine and cedar strive to contrast
Light breeze locked by mountain cliffs
In silence, I sit in front of heaven and earth
Soul is lost, constellations are felt
Noiseless, heavenly music flows
Creations scattered around the universe
A wise heart preaches truth,
and succeeds to pioneers
The dusty world, a zendo
The universe, hearty realm
Eating, drinking, toileting, sleeping
Completely carnal old folks
