IN THE NEW SPRING, I SING
(A poem of natural wisdom)
Mountains, rivers recast their dress, new outlook
Flowing clouds, elegant brocade, dancing yarn
skirt
Light mists conceal ridges; poetic meanings
are dense
Hundreds of blossoms, thousands of petals keenly
alert: Spring comes
Hills in green and velvet, splendid colours
Bright glow, rosy clouds, symphony’s rhymes
Swift birds swerve twigs, caroling the poet’s
love
Light breezes gently pluck the strings of the lake
Pale green reveals the universe’s providence
All creation hums nature’s poetic meanings
New days land in silence; the earthly dream awakens
Wisdom reveals at all times; truths are in all
places
Ordinary days, ordinary nights, spent in ordinary
ways
Ordinary poetic meanings, ordinary beings
