WISE WOMEN’S SUTRA

(A poem of natural wisdom)

In nature, Tao is boundless

The ultimate Tao: the origin of all creations

Heaven and earth are revelations of Kun and Qian

On earth, its forms are shown everywhere

 

Kun: Ying, soft, benevolence, water

Qian: Yang, strong, righteousness, hill

Mother’s kindness is Kun, Yin’s reflection 

Father’s firmness is the phenomenon of Yang, Qian

 

The shapes of men and women differ

Their moral and functions are from the same source

Hundreds of flowers bloom in lives

A human’s poetic meanings are sweet

Women’s new sutra

First, understanding the Tao, to be a human

To enlighten the universe, life

To establish views of values

 

Knowing reasonableness, high wisdom intelligence

Mastering all laws, principles

Doubts are solved right away

The power of wisdom reveals

 

Knowing oneself, mind-body harmony

Truth of life is learned

Fate is in one’s hands

Character is heavy as a rock

The formula for positioning oneself, attending to affairs

Strong within, soft without

Fidelity to parents: offering needs with diligence and prudence

Caring for husbands: seeking for happiness and contentment

 

Teaching children: modeling is the key word

Being friendly with neighbors: good manners, modesty

Self-loving, knows shamefulness

Self-respecting, natural postures

 

Cultivating oneself, integrity in mind-body

Knowledge and experience wide, broad, deep

Self-confidence, engaging in thinking, reflecting

A lifelong growth in skills and talents

 

Right conduct complies with moral principles

Humility and obedience are deeds’ norms

Truthful thoughts guide good deeds

Warm heart articulates kind words

Realizing truth is the base rock

To explore, to experiment with courage

A far vision, a big heart

Truth accompanies our lives

 

Approaching good: speaking, acting with care

When attending to affairs, hold kind thoughts

Sincerity, honest, value harmony

Helping others; giving priority to others

 

Do not fight for right and wrong

Respect, obedience, give

Petty things, do not fuss about

Tolerance avoids disasters

 

A large heart is not jealous of exemplars

Be humble, not arrogance

Giving more thanks, less complaint

Contentment, being reserved

 

Pursuing beauty is naturalness

A peaceful and indifferent mind

Language and words are elegant

Movements are gentle, unhurried

 

Appearance is with unnecessary decorations

Avoid heavy and vulgar make-ups

Clothes are clean, simple and lovely

Propriety, elegant, graceful

An open and selfless heart

Takes on the family and the nation’s duties

In silence, not self-praise

Extraordinary, yet ordinary

 

Family duties, job affairs

Managing homes with virtues, industry, thrifty

Morality of others first

Thousands of hardships, I am willing to take

 

Great love, affection of friendliness

Loving-kindness, without comparisons

Human destiny

 Keep it in mind at all times

 

The soul of a nation and an ethnicity

Loving nations, guarding homes

Bearing a heart of love and kindness

I take all the responsibilities in this world

 

To sacrifice, a heart of passions

Striving to fulfill dreams

Respect one’s career, no regrets

Love one’s post, enjoy without complaint

 

Self-independence plows hope

Self-confidence dares to win

Self-strengthening establishes life’s work

Self-discipline protects self-esteem

Spring, we spread kind seeds

Autumn, we collect golden harvests

 

Life’s poetic meaning is magnificent

Sunlight, youthfulness, spread 

The dreams of many heroines

They are abundant and flourishing

 

Wisdom holds up ideals high

Poetic meanings are from naturalness

A life journey with capital letters

Happiness is blooming in gardens
