SPRING SNOW

SPRING SNOW
(A poem of moral wisdom)

To welcome the new age, pear trees are in full bloom

In silence, spring is taking its steps with ease

Winter retires, chill hides, the meaning of spring is green

Garments of truth alter many times, nature has no change

ANOTHER SPRING

ANOTHER SPRING

(A poem of moral wisdom)

Spring days are bright, snow melts and ebbs

Tender green is at ease, it silently dyes the grass

Warm breeze spreads the force of life and freshness

The dynamic creatures who hibernate lift their sleepiness

Time passing by as a running horse, another spring arrives

The golden life shall not be spent in nothingness

Tao is illuminating, images revealing, Te is born

The usefulness of creatures: time yields

CHERISHING FATE

CHERISHING FATE

(A poem of moral wisdom)

Withering blossoms: not bright

Falling sunset: not rising

Passing destined Tao, right now: irretrievable

Losing destined Te, right now: hard to restore

TAO TE CONNECT

TAO TE CONNECT
(A poem of moral wisdom)

We plan melons, we harvest melons because of melons
We plan beans, we harvest beans, the beans belong to one family
The Tao is enlightening, Te is prospering, the root of the Tao holds
When the Tao connects, runs, Te reveals righteous energy

SEFL-RESPECT AND SELF-CONFIDENCE ARE ROOTE IN TAO, TE

SELF-RESPECT AND SELF-CONFIDENCE ARE ROOTED IN TAO, TE

(A poem of moral wisdom)

Without roots, duckweed can hardly stand on its own

Away from branches, how could yellow leaves revive?

When Te in life is hindered, self-respect is vacant

How can self-confidence arise when Tao’s original root is obscured?

A MEAN PERSON AND A NOBLE PERSON ARE NOT INNATE

A MEAN PERSON AND A NOBLE PERSON ARE NOT INNATE
(A poem of moral wisdom)

A mean person and a noble person are not innate

This depends upon whether Tao and Te are revealed or obscured

A thought reveals Te: the body of a noble person

A thought obscures Te: the arrival of a mean person

Reflect on where thoughts arise

Educating yourself, heroic persons

Anyone who sees you will love you: beauty of an exemplary person

A mean person is kept away from others, can hardly walk on earth

A NOBLE PERSON, A MEAN PERSON: ONE THOUGHT COMPLETES

A NOBLE PERSON, A MEAN PERSON: ONE THOUGHT COMPLETES
A poem of natural moral wisdom)

When a thought of illusion goes out, a noble person arrives

When a though of illusion arises, a mean person yields

Comprehending the Tao, understanding reasons, the virtue of knowing oneself

Sages and exemplary persons: heaven and earth are peaceful

By Shanlin-Tzu

DISOBEYING THE TAO, OBSCURING TE, HOW CAN A PERSON BE?

(A poem of natural moral wisdom)

The sun is rising, the smog is dense, murky heaven and earth

Smog is scattered, lights are shining, the body of a noble person

Complying with the Tao, unfolding Te, common sense

The clouds of selfish desires cover; they cloak a beginner’s mind

Education of natural moral wisdom

Its root: cultivate oneself

Building Te, establishing humans, moral wisdom is enlightened

Disobeying the Tao, obscuring Te, how can a person be?

YOUTH IS ALWAYS EQUIPPED WITH TAO, TE

YOUTH IS ALWAYS EQUIPPED WITH TAO, TE
(A poem of natural moral wisdom)

Boundless nature presents the body of Tao, Te

Complete dynamic creations orchestrate Tao, Te

The sun, the moon and the galaxy bind Tao, Te

Hills, rivers and earth demonstrate the appearance of Tao, Te

Life’s original source cultivates the root of Tao, Te

A social mind is tied in with Tao, Te

Why do people bother to painstakingly search for Tao, Te?

Youth is always equipped with Tao, Te

SAGES ARE ORDINARY PEOPLE

SAGES ARE ORDINARY PEOPLE
(A poem of moral wisdom)

Sages are ordinary people
The wise one, the foolish one: moral wisdom decides upon
When recognizing the original face of morals
Wisdom is revealed, the realization of the Tao is intimate
To understand reasons, to know self, to take a proper stance
To develop character, to have rightful conduct, to enlighten truth
To approach good, to pursue beauty, to be free from selfish follies
Great love, sacrifice: hearts of sages and exemplary persons
